There are states with worse lemon laws than West Virginia

A study published earlier this year by the Center for Auto Safety (CAS) captured how many states have weak lemon laws on the books. Many consumers end up having to settle with a far worse resolution than they should have to as a result. While some states have poorly articulated lemon laws in place, West Virginia, fortunately, isn't one of them.

Get help if you've been injured by something that you've bought!

It's that time of year again where it seems like there's an overwhelming number of interesting products that are being released on the market at some intriguing introductory prices. Many of these items are spoken highly of in the media because they're new to the market and offer innovative ways of doing things. If there's one downside to new products being made available to consumers all at once though, it's that it's hard to know whether they'll perform as intended and if they're safe.

How can you tell if you're being misclassified as a worker?

Workers are classified as either exempt or non-exempt employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The majority of employees in West Virginia and elsewhere in this country are considered to be non-exempt employees. They're entitled to be paid minimum wages for the first 40 hours that they work. Workers should be paid overtime for any time put in beyond that. Sadly many employers intentionally misclassify workers. This results in employees not receiving the benefits that they deserve.

Benefits associated with joining a class-action lawsuit

When you watch the television, you often hear attorneys who've made commercials asking you to call in if you've been injured or if your health has declined after using a particular medical product. There's a reason that they're trying to get you to join a class-action lawsuit against the manufacturer of that product. There are many positives associated with joining one of these.
